CodeJam

I’m currently setting up our second code jam at work.

I have proposed we write Wario style micro-games based on XNA.

The “logo” is a mash-up of stuff I found on the web (must add a reference, apologies to the author of the image and the font – will quote you once I have re-traced my steps).

(update, the image came from here)

Its been quite a learning curve for me – C# and XNA. Unlike our previous CodeJam (XML and transformations), this required me writing a framework to host the micro-games. Most of this work has been out of hours so I have neglected Moo :-(

The “jam” is scheduled for this Friday. Will update this entry with more information after its conclusion (possibly with a download of the result!). Should be interesting, I purposefully choose a subject which would cause social interaction and fun, also there is a possibility people will collaborate across teams to share code.

My only worry is that the subject is more about social collaboration and enjoyment than technical know-how, this might be an issue – Time will tell…

Here are some images – Not all for copyright reasons – I’m sure we will infringe some if I put the pictures up!
